Hey everyone!! My name is Megan Brinton and I am a sophomore studying elementary education with a minor in Family Life. This is my first semester in the program and I am LOVING it. The McKay School of Education is the best, and I have already learned so much and met so many amazing people within the major.
I was born in Arkansas and lived in Ohio and California before moving to Spanish Fork, Utah when I was a little girl. I am the fourth of six children in my family and I love them all so much. I followed in my Dad's footsteps by choosing to attend BYU, and I am so glad that I did.
In my free time I love to take pictures (specifically portraits), be outside, attend BYU sporting events, and spend time with my friends and family. I have a cat named Maya and I love to travel when I can. I am a huge country music fan and play the violin and ukulele.
I value any and all opportunities that I have to be in the classroom and gain experience teaching. I am also currently employed as a substitute teacher and have learned a lot about classroom management and the kind of teacher that I want to be. I am so excited to be a student ambassador for elementary education and help others find their love for teaching!
