The Arts Express conference this year was phenomenal! Hundreds of educators came together to learn all about how to integrate and teach the arts. We heard from three amazing keynote speakers, learned from some of the best teachers, and visited some booths. Classes included: puppet making, model magic, drums, ukulele, pottery, dance, theater, quilting, etc. Cally Flox started the arts express conference years ago through the arts partnership and it has been a favorite for educators and college students ever since!

The conference lasted two days and included breakfast and lunch with registration. Each meal was catered and accompanied by live music. Breaks were typically spent eating, making necklaces, visiting booths, or stopping by the sensory room. There were about 10 vendors at the conference with materials and information for educators. These booths included: BYU MOA, Springville art museum, pottery, instruments, etc. Each vendor brought such amazing stuff, perfect for educators hoping to integrate more of the arts into their classroom.

Workshops are taught by skilled educators in various positions. Some teach music in high school, while others teach art in elementary. Each teacher has such valuable knowledge to share. When registering, you choose which workshops you would like to attend, but space is limited so when registration for next year opens, make sure to sign up quick to get all of the classes that you want. There are over 50 to choose from!
The Arts express conference happens once a year, every year! You don't have to be a current teacher to attend, university education students are also welcome and typically get a discount. To learn more about the conference or find the dates for next year, click here. You won't regret it!
