Arts in the Elementary Classroom Minor:
Arts in the Elementary Classroom is a minor offered by the Fine Arts and Communications department and is available to education majors. This minor consists of various art pedagogy coursework and practice that will help you know how to integrate art pedagogies into your classroom. This minor is required by the Utah State Board of Education if you would like to get the Arts Integration endorsement.
Arts Integration Endorsement:
The Arts Integration endorsement is a program offered by the Center for the Improvement of Teacher Education and Schooling (CITES) on BYU's campus. Teachers will be taking classes involving drama, music, dance, and various kinds of arts. Teachers will be asked to create portfolios and conduct research in the classrooms for the endorsement.
