The Best Field Trip Spots in Utah

This summer the student ambassadors visited several places around Utah County to learn more about where teachers can take their classes on field trips. We've compiled our favorites in a list below that you can download and print.

BYU Museum of Art


Provo, Utah

60 - 90 minutes

Students spend half the allotted time touring an art gallery with an art curator and the other half creating an art piece in the studio about what they saw/learned

Bean Life Science Museum


Provo, Utah

1 - 2 hours

Students spend 30-45 minutes learning about plants, animals, and the natural world from a museum educator. They even provide the students with hands-on experiences and samples they can touch. Students then can spend as much time as they want touring the gallery. Scavenger hunts and gallery bingo sheets are available upon request.


For a small fee, representatives will come to your school and complete a special science based program if desired.

Museum of Natural Curiosity


Lehi, Utah

2 hours

Students are free to explore one (or all) of the 5 realms of discovery ranging from a water area to a kid sized city to a massive jungle gym and more.


For an extra fee, students can participate in a core aligned science activity (minimum 40 students) based on their grade level.

Springville Museum of Art


Springville, Utah

1 hour

Students take part in a guided tour around the museum. The Springville Museum of Art hosts artwork from Utah local artists, making this a fun and interesting field trip for students.
