Congrats! You've started your practicum, student teaching, or internship! This is by far the best part of the major, but it can also be the hardest part. To help you out, we've gathered a few websites full of crafts, games, and lesson plans that you and your students will love! The best part? They're free!
The UEN (Utah Education Network) offers endless resources for teachers and students in every subject for every grade level! Not only do they have lesson plan help, but they also have homework help, online libraries, and opportunities for professional development. Their website is a super helpful resource for pretty much anything for teachers!
The BYU ARTS (Arts Reaching and Teaching in Schools) has partnered with the McKay School to improve arts education in schools. Their lesson plans include activities involving dance, music, drama, and more! This is a valuable resource for teachers of the arts. Need to spice up their normal classroom routines? This is the place!
The Education website has pretty much any printable you could ever dream of for every subject PreK through 8th grade! Not only that, they have fun computer games that go along with them. Every thing on this website directly correlates with the Common Core Standards, so they'll fit into your lesson plans perfectly!
Last but not least, your most valuable asset is people! Don't be afraid to talk to your mentor teachers, professors, and peers in your cohort about what you're doing in your classroom. They're all rooting for you! Good luck!
