I am a senior majoring in Elementary Education. I love music and art! I play the violin and love hiking. I also love spending time with my family and friends. I am so excited to be an Elementary Ed Teacher and help kids enjoy learning at school!
Emily Hunter (soon to be Emily Reed)
I am a junior majoring in Special Education with an emphasis in mild/moderate disabilities. I am also minoring in TESOL K-12. My passion is my education! I love working as a student ambassador as well as a research assistant for the Counseling Psychology and Special Education department! I knew that I wanted to be a special education teacher when I had the opportunity to work with individuals with disabilities on my mission. I am so excited to give these precious souls an opportunity to learn and I look forward to advocating for equal opportunities for all students!
I am a junior majoring in Elementary Education! I am new to the Student Ambassador team, hence my lack of a professional head shot, but a picture my husband took on my balcony will have to do! I love music, movies, and cooking (food!!), and I love education/educating. I wouldn't say I had a defining moment that I knew I wanted to be a teacher but my collective experiences with the teachers I admired and changed my own life. I also have to admit when I was a young student seeing the gifts my teachers got from teacher appreciation week kind of swayed my interest in teaching. I have always felt teaching was an act of love, and I can't wait to spread that love every day as well as learn from my own students!
I am a super senior studying Physical Education (PETE) and I'm minoring in Health Education. Like many of you reading this post, I struggled to know which career path was the right one for me. After declaring four different majors prior to this one, I found that my passion lies with serving and teaching youth. Physical Education to me is more than rolling the ball out and allowing the kids to play and have a good time. I have the unique opportunity to teach motor skills, establish friendships, and build confidence in rising generations! I care deeply about the health of our nation, communities, and families, and as a future teacher, it excites me to know that I have direct impact on the health of our rising generations.
